300 kW diesel generator on a container for diesel fuel spillage damage control in Norilsk

In 2020, Techexpo LLC delivered a 300 kW diesel genset on a container unit for diesel fuel spillage damage control in Norilsk.

The diesel genset based on a Korean Doosan DP126LB engine and a Turkish Crompton Greaves G1R315MB AC generator is housed in an all-welded Sever-type container measuring 6058*2438*2591 mm, with an extra 1000-liter fuel tank and an automatic refueling system.

The diesel fuel spill in Norilsk is an environmental disaster, a federal-scale emergency, which took place on May 29, 2020, when depressurizing a diesel fuel tank at CHP plant-3 in Kayerkan belonging to Norilsk-Taymyr power generation company, which in turn belongs to Norilsk nickel group of companies. As a result of the spill, more than 21 tons of diesel fuel spilled far beyond the industrial area, of which, according to preliminary estimates, 6 tons got in the ground, and 15 tons in the river Daldykan, the right confluent of the river Ambarnaya running into large Pyasino lake, from which the river Pyasina flows out and flows in the Kara sea. The area of contamination is over 180 thousand sq. m. At the end of October 2020, the specialists of Norilsk nickel group of companies completed the main stages for diesel fuel spillage damage control: 25 thousand cubic meters of fuel water mixture was pumped from a temporary tank field to a storage depot.
