Our сustomer, St. Petersburg Broadcasting Company JSC, represents Channel Five, one of the leading federal TV channels in Russia, which is one of the leaders of the national television airwaves. Channel Five's programs are broadcast in 82 regions of the Russian Federation, with a total audience coverage exceeding 136 million people. About two thousand settlements in the regions of Russia, including all cities with millions, are covered by terrestrial and cable broadcasting. The program television center is located in St. Petersburg.
All work on the implementation of this project was carried out by Techexpo specialists in the conditions of an operating television channel, without stopping the process of television and Internet broadcasting. Therefore, the installation of the equipment was carried out only in the designated area for work with a minimum number of technical means and mechanisms. The work on connecting the cable lines, testing the DSU, was carried out only during off-air hours.
A backup power plant already existed at the Customer's facility. The purpose of the work of Techexpo LLC was to re-equip the existing power plant and increase the installed capacity, namely:
- supply of an additional diesel generator in a container version on a wheeled trailer;
- supply of outdoor switching cabinet and cable products;

installation of the diesel generator and the switching cabinet in the design position, installation of the cable route, connection to the existing power plant;
- supply of additional control panels for existing DGS;
- installation of additional control panels;
- setting up automatic start-up and parallel operation of all DGS included in the power plant;
- organization of monitoring of the condition, operating modes, alarm of all DGS, as well as the possibility of remote emergency shutdown of DGS;
- start-up and commissioning and comprehensive testing of SBGE.
The equipment supplied includes:
- an open-type diesel generator set based on a Volvo TWD1644GE engine
- container type «North»
- chassis
- electrotechnical enclosure (cabinet) EC
- optional Deif AGC 150 control panel
- cable products, installation materials
Techexpo specialists developed the working documentation, coordinated it with the Customer, replaced the existing control panels, and also carried out commissioning, DSU testing, and comprehensive testing of the uninterrupted guaranteed power supply system (UGPSS). The customer was provided with monitoring of the state, operating modes and alarm system of the UGPSS.
The warranty period for the equipment supplied by our company and the work performed is 24 months or 1000 operating hours.
