Two DGs by 60 kW in insulated containers for Chkalovskaya and Ininskaya solar power plants

Deliver two diesel generators in an insulated container with a reinforced metal and primed frame. Painting containers in the customer's corporate colors

In November 2018, we implemented a project for Hevel Solar. Avelar Solar Technology is a major company producing solar units, constructing and operating solar power plants, as well as carrying out research and development activities in the field of solar energy.

Techexpo LLC delivered diesel generators as a standby electrical power source for Chkalovskaya solar power plant in Orenburg and Ininskaya solar power plant in Gorno-Altaisk.

The DGs are planned to operate under harsh climatic conditions and in remote locations away from the nearest administrative center. For guaranteed uninterrupted operation, we manufactured a containerized DG based on Italian equipment – Green Power Systems with 60 kW FPT/IVECO MOTORS engines.

Green Power diesel generators are adapted to Russian conditions:

• they can run on domestic fuel
• they can function smoothly at critical temperatures in any region of our country, including the Far North.

Subject to the terms of specification for each genset, a container with a reinforced metal and primed frame was made. The floor is reinforced with a channel and covered with a 4-mm corrugated steel sheet.

When designing the containers, we focused on reliable thermal protection of the station:

• thermal insulation around the entire perimeter of the container, including the floor and ceiling with a 100-mm mineral wool board in a vapor barrier;
• double-leaf door with rubber seals, heat-insulated with a 100-mm mineral wool board;

The containers are made under the 2^nd degree of fire resistance and equipped with additional exhaust ventilation. An automated aerosol fire extinguishing system is provided.

UPSs (uninterruptible power supply units) are provided for every generator for the fire and security alarm system and an auxiliaries board of the container.

DGs are equipped with an enlarged 400-liter fuel tank.

Upon the completion of the project, the client was provided with design and operational documentation. Promptly, within two business days, supervision and commissioning were organized with the visit of our specialist to the customer's facilities in Orenburg and Gorno-Altaisk.
