Annual diesel generator maintenance

In November 2019, the maintenance department of Techexpo carried out the annual maintenance of a 447 kW diesel generator for a P&G Gillette factory in Saint Petersburg. This is a high-technology factory producing a wide range of razors, blades and cassettes. The factory monthly produces about 185.6 million units of products, which are supplied to 55 countries worldwide.

A diesel generator set with a Volvo Penta TAD1630 engine and a Stamford generator is placed in a metal container. Works are carried out on the territory of the customer.

We used accessories and consumables designed only for this equipment. They comply with the standards and meet the requirements of the DG manufacturer.

The list of works carried out during maintenance:

• Changing the oil in the engine;
• Changing main and by-pass oil filters;
• Changing the fuel filter, primary and secondary;
• Changing the air filter;
• Changing the antifreeze;
• Pumping the fuel system;
• Checking electrical connections, power and signal cables;
• Checking the generator insulation resistance;
• Checking hoses for leaks, DG supports;
• Checking the engine, integrated control;
• Checking accumulator batteries and the state of the charge;
• Checking the turbo compressor, the pipe of pressurized air;
• Checking/adjusting valve clearances, drive belts.
