2,8 MW power supply package for UEFA EURO 2020 fan zone in Saint Petersburg

In summer 2021, Techexpo company provided a fan zone of the UEFA EURO 2020 fan festival in Saint Petersburg with an uninterrupted power supply. The festival was organized for the time of the World Football Cup. The fan zone was located in the center of Saint Petersburg at Konyushennaya square, as well as at Dvortsovaya square. The fan zone was prepared according to the requirements of the UEFA management for 'The zone of fans of the final tournament of the European Football Championship 2020" event and under the order of ‘St. Petersburg Sports Team Training Center’ St. Petersburg State Autonomous Agency

The tasks included providing screens with electric power including the biggest one 16х9 meters and a powerful sound and lighting system, which create an effect of participation at the stadium.

From June 11 to July 11, 2021, Techexpo provided the fan zone on Konyushennaya street with electrical power. To this end, we delivered and assembled a 1,6 MW power package consisting of 4 VibroPowerVP500P diesel gensets 400 kW each. These are three-phase DGs with an original diesel engine Perkins, which fit both backup and regular power supply 24/7.

For match broadcasts at Dvortsovaya square, we delivered a power supply package consisting of DGs FG Wilson P715-3 (509 kW), VibroPower VP640P (512 kW) and Cummins C275D5 (200 kW).

Techexpo company leased all facilities. The diesel gensets were enclosed and placed outdoors in protective containers. When using them, all fire safety standards and operations conditions were met. Cables AVVG 4х150 and three KRUN-0,4 switchgears were used to connect the DGs.

Our employees provided the 24/7 maintenance, fueling and cleaning of diesel generators throughout the festival.
