Two 1200 kW 10,5 kV containerized HV diesel gensets for a strategic site

Solution

Techexpo LLC delivered two 1200kW 10,5 kV high-voltage diesel gensets for the Rostov Region . The delivery was carried out under the state defense order 275-FZ for the consumers of the 1st power supply reliability rating.

The diesel gensets are powered by a Mitsubishi S12R-PTAA2 engine (Japan) and a Mecc Alte ECO46HV- I L/4A current generator in the parallel mode using a controller DSE 8610. The 2-degree automation diesel gensets are housed in Severtype containers 12000х2440х2896 mm with an extra section with a 12 m3 fuel tank. The containers come with critical dumpers (-35 dB), specially designed muffling chambers on the discharge and noise-protective blinds. Thanks to this development from Techexpo engineers, the noise from 2 MW gensets will not be more than noise from a 100 kW diesel genset.

The diesel gensets are a ready-to-operate product of a container type with an automatic control system, a factory heating and ventilating system, an automatic fire suppression with aerosol (in the diesel genset section) and powder blend (in the fuel section), the 2nddegree of automation according to GOST 10032. For continuous operation within 72 hours with a 60% load, the Techexpo LLC manufacturing plant completes a module as a part of the genset with a container for necessary fuel storage.

Diesel genset #1 and #2 automatic control system block scheme (see drawings and descriptions in the Documentation tab below):

  • two 1500 kVA containerized diesel automated emergency gensets with a voltage of 10500 V on the basis of a Mitsubishi S12R PTAA2 diesel-generator set;
  • a high-voltage circuit breaker of existing 35/10 kV switchgear;
  • two generator high-voltage circuit breakers of the diesel genset, a high-voltage bus section switch;
  • two transfer switches from a 35/10 kV transformer with a capacity of 6300 kVA.

The automated process control system has a three-level structure:

  • primary converters of controlled parameters signals, secondary converter indicating instruments (by pressure, temperature, level), actuators, controls installed on-site.
  • the control panel on the basis of a digital electrical generator control system DSE8610, an auxiliary power automatic control system, a 10 kV voltage distribution cabinet;
  • operator’s automated workplace - duty staff automated workplace, information acquisition and transfer system – the substation control point premises.

The diesel genset automatic control system is made on a controller DSE8610 provides not only diesel genset parameter control but also controlling the feed of fuel into the 12 m3diesel genset supply fuel tank.

The auxiliaries board provides the control of auxiliaries and automatic switch of electric power supply from infeed 1 to infeed 2, automatic and automated supply and exhaust air-valves control.
