In September 2020, the Techexpo specialists executed the complex of construction, installation and engineering works with power equipment diesel rotary UPS-3 at a large Saint Petersburg data center providing DC outsourcing services. In summer 2019, we provided installation services on diesel rotary UPS-2. We dissembled the container roof, demounted the generator and kinetic accumulator off the unit. The need for power equipment major repair became necessary after the five years of operation. This repair can be carried out under plant conditions only. To do this, it’s required to demount the generator and kinetic accumulator and replace them with new ones. Equipment weight: kinetic accumulator - 5,25 tons and generator - 6,2 tons. Together with genset additional systems, such as a fuel consumed tank a ventilation chamber, a diesel coolant system premixing tank, etc., the containerized genset with a process area is mounted on the roof where a muffler, an overflow tank and a remote radiator of the diesel coolant system are placed. Our specialists removed the LU-VE remote radiator weighing about 1 ton by disconnecting it from the overflow tank, pipelines and cabling system, removed the process area and demounted the muffler. Then they dissembled the roof and dismantled the hatch weighing about 600 kg. Then it was possible to work with the generator and kinetic accumulator, which were mounted on a common frame with a diesel engine. Techexpo specialists disconnected equipment from the unit and using slings moved it onto the shipping frame for repair. A new generator and kinetic accumulator were delivered from a warehouse. We installed them on the frame of a diesel dynamic uninterruptible power source. Then we started installing the roof and container hatch. An assembly for exhaust pipe bypassing through the roof was made, pipe and hatch were installed and pressure-sealed. We assembled the process area, installed the muffler and exhaust pipeline. Before mounting the coolant system, we cleaned the inside of the coolant system mixing tank and repaired it (joint sealing welding). We replaced cooling pipe gaskets and packing, installed the LU-VE remote radiator and overflow tank in the process area. Rainwater drainage gutters were installed. The guarantee covers the result of work performed within 24 months. |
