Jacobs Rus coffee factory 640 kW diesel genset maintenance

Under the emergency power system maintenance and repair contract, Techexpo specialists completed maintenance work of a 640 kW Caterpillar GS270 diesel generator set of Jacobs Rus coffee factory.

After the inspection of a diesel generator, we cleaned the external surfaces and the radiator of the cooling system from contamination, changed the engine oil and fuel, oil and air filters.

Much attention was paid to the cooling system of the DG engine: we cleaned the external surfaces and the radiator of the cooling system of dirt, changed the engine oil and fuel, oil and air filters.

Much attention was paid to the cooling system of the DG engine:

• Checking the coolant level, adding coolant;
• Checking the performance of the coolant heating system;
• Analysis of coolant quality and replacement of cooling system filters;
• Checking the fastening and condition of the hoses and pipes of the cooling system.
• Checking the condition and tension of the drive belts, the condition of the power generator (tightening of fastening and electrical connections, insulation resistance and ohmic resistance of the power generator windings), maintenance of the battery.

During the start-up of the engine, we checked the main parameters of the DG operation, the vibration level and the condition of the anti-vibration cushions, analyzed the composition of the exhaust gases, as well as the performance of the diesel fuel booster pumps and auxiliary systems of the DG.

DG rent:

To ensure the power supply of the canteen during a planned power outage, we provided an encased 80 kW CTM C100 (Country of manufacture: Italy) diesel generator set, 1^st degree of automation, with a Cummins 6BT5.9G6 (UK) engine for rent.

Techexpo specialists delivered equipment, assembled and connected it to the energy supply system.

During the generator operation, we also provided technical support: round-the-clock duty of the operator.
