Under the annual contract the maintenance and repair of the emergency power system of a coffee factory in the Leningrad region JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS RUS LLC, Techexpo specialists repaired an 1160 kW Cummins gas-powered electrical generator.

The emergency happened in the cylinder unit of the gas-powered electrical generator. Our specialists promptly went to the site.

  • They carried out diagnostics.
  • Based on the diagnostic results, the cylinder head component was replaced.
  • The generator was cleaned of dirt.

When inspecting the equipment, a gas leak was discovered at the gas-powered electrical generator. To determine the exact location of the leak, an additional inspection of the gas pipeline, intake, and intake manifolds and connections, diagnostics of the internal cavities of the gas mixer was carried out. After detecting the gas leak, the composition of spare parts necessary to eliminate the defect was determined.

The repair operations included:

  • disassembling and assembling the gas-mixer
  • replacing the damaged gasket of the gas-mixer pipeline
  • replacing the turbo compressor
