Maintenance of three DGs of Konstantinovsky Palace in Strelnya

In 2019, Techexpo LLC provided engineering support to diesel generators of an affiliate of Lenenergo PJSC ‘St. Petersburg High-Voltage Electricity Networks' to increase the reliability of the electric power supply of Konstantinovsky Palace in Strelnya.

Techexpo specialists carried out the maintenance of diesel generator sets:

• VibroPower VP1250CU with a 1100 kW Cummins КТА50-G3 engine – 2 units
• Portable GEIA DG based on an Iveco engine.

Maintenance should be carried out once every six months to keep the diesel gensets in good condition.

In May and November 2019, we completed the following works:

• We visually inspected the engine for lack of damage and checked the engine system's leak-tight integrity and the equipment's fastening.
• We checked the oil level and coolant, supplemental additive concentration in the cooling system, condition of pipes, hoses, and clamps, checked the state and tension of all belts.
• We changed engine oil, oil, fuel and water filters, the filter element of the air compressor.
• We checked the operation of cold start means.

In May 2019, additionally, for every station, we steam cleaned the engine, adjusted valves, injectors and fan belt tensioner, checked the engine protection system and the tightening of the mounting bolts, pumped the fuel system, and removed the air.

We carried out a control start-up of the DG, checked the operation of the turbo compressors, charging generator, temperature regulators, and water pump.

We checked these systems:

• Emergency protection (alarm, sensors, automated devices), adjusted the fire extinguishing system.
• Control and measuring system of automatic DSE 5510 engine start.
• Automated control systems for supply blinds.
• Automated fuel delivery system.
• We additionally checked the state of fuel tanks and reservoirs, cleaned them. We disposed of the old, unusable diesel fuel and provided new fuel.

Upon the completion of work, we had a joint training session with the staff of the branch of Lenenergo PJSC SPbVS.

In June 2019, within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, part of the events took place in the Konstantinovsky Palace in Strelnya. Techexpo specialists provided round-the-clock technical support on-site. From June 4 to June 9, 2019, they were on duty at the generator to ensure an uninterrupted power supply for the official event.
