Replacing an outdoor package transformer substation, laying and connecting power equipment for Saint Petersburg Vodokanal

Within the framework of the project ‘Outdoor package transformer substation #2401 reconstruction’ for Saint Petersburg Vodokanal State Unitary Enterprise, the Techexpo construction team carried out work to replace the transformer substation, lay electrical cables along the site area and connect power equipment.

Dismounting:

An existing three-phase transformer was dismounted: 35 kW with a voltage of 630 kVA weighing 2 tons; existing concrete blocks were dismounted.

Cable routing:

Before electrical cable routing, a trench was excavated and prepared: water, stones and other foreign bodies were removed, the trench bottom was leveled, a sand pad was made. Cabling operations were carried out according to the applicable construction rules and Electrical installation code

When earthwork operations were completed, site improvement and landscape gardening were provided.

Installing the package transformer substation

To prepare the package transformer substation foundation, preparation and earthworks were carried out: asphalt concrete pavement was removed and a foundation pit was excavated.

The foundation base was prepared and the package transformer substation plate was reinforced with concrete.

A 1х630 kVA 6 kV unit-type package two-transformer distribution substation in a reinforced concrete encasement was installed on the prepared reinforced concrete foundation using an assembly crane.
