In August 2016, Techexpo delivered, installed and started up a 100 kW diesel generator unit for Vyborg television and broadcasting shop of the branch of the Russian television and broadcasting network ‘Saint Petersburg regional center’, which is located in the city of Vyborg, Leningrad region.

The Russian-made diesel generator unit based on a YAMZ 236BI (Yaroslavl Motor Plant, Russia) engine and an Italian Marelli Motori MJB 225 LA4 generator is housed in a heat-insulated ‘Sever’ type container.

The container is fitted with an additional 1000-liter fuel tank. An electric pump for automatic refueling, a redundant manual pump, an overflow and feed pipeline are installed for it. In addition to fuel level visual check, the fuel is fitted with four level sensors (emergency high, high, low, emergency low).

Despite the difficult installation site -  a narrow passage and the use of а crane – Techexpo specialists:

  • Installed the diesel genset container on a specially prepared site.
  • Installed metal casings and special supports on the foundation to route cables.
  • Grounded all metal components of the diesel genset to the existing ground loop on the common main grounding bus made from copper with two independent current conductors with a section not less than 80 mm2 (for steel). Leakproof gland inlets were installed to lead the ground loop through the container body.
